One of the cool things about being a futurist is that it’s a great excuse to meet interesting people. (This is something I loved about being managing editor of the Encyclopaedia Britannica: I regularly commissioned work from people I really admired and respected, and in so doing I got to to work with authors– Peter Burke, John Keegan, Greg Dening, Jonathan Culler, Richard Posner, and others– who I would never have met otherwise.)

This Wednesday I heard a talk by Mike Liebhold, on geocoding and the future of information. I’ve written about it here.
