My daughter is at her ballet class at the Palo Alto Arts Center, and I decided to wander over to the library to do a little work. It turns out they’ve got an open wifi network here, so I can really get some serious stuff done while my daughter dances. Or, I can write blog entries.

I wonder how long it’ll be before finding a wireless network in a public place like this will cease to be a cool discovery, and become just another utility. How long did people say, “Hey, look, lighting!” or “A public bathroom! Cool!”?

Though it’s a beautiful day. I might see if the network reaches outdoors.
