No London updates

Since touching down on Tuesday, I’ve been working on a newspaper op-piece that’s scheduled to run this Sunday, so that’s one reason I haven’t talked about the London trip.

The other reason is that I think I lost my camera. I haven’t seen it for at least a day, and I suspect I left it at the restaurant we stopped at for dinner.

What almost makes me madder than the loss of the hardware is the loss of all the pictures– some 150, I’m guessing. I should have downloaded the stupid things onto my Powerbook.

However, the article has been good to work on. It’s about the iPod, and has been lots of fun to think about. Plus, newspaper writing is different from what I usually get to do, and an interesting stretch.

Still, if the camera’s really lost, that throws a dark cloud in my sky.

  1. Sorry to hear of the loss of that camera.

I once left my Macintosh Powerbook on a KAL plane and didn’t even notice until an airline representative came to the customs line as I was about to enter Korea and waved it around.

If she hadn’t shown up, I’d still be kicking myself.

  2. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a bluetooth enabled camera which would automatically sync with your laptop?

I’m sorry to hear about the possible camera loss. Have you tried contacting the restaurant? They’ll often keep things like that. If you only remember vague info on the restaurant, I might be able to help you find it. (There are street views of some neighborhoods of London online.)
